What is Gator Grip?
Gator Grip rubber is a poured-in-place mix of top-of-the-line virgin EPDM rubber granules mixed with Aliphatic Urethane to produce a vibrant, slip resistant, impact absorbing and durable-as-rock surface. Because Gator Grip is poured in place, it allows uneven areas to be leveled and depressions to be filled in.

Where is Gator Grip most commonly used?
Most commonly applied around pool decks, spas and cracked old concrete, it can be installed over most surfaces including concrete, stone, wood, epoxy finishes, tile, brick, asphalt and steel. Gator Grip can be applied both residentially and commercially. Some applications include:

What kind of maintenance does it require?
Gator Grip does not require any type of annual treatment or sealer. It only requires the occasional wash with regular soap and water. A pressure washer (no more than 1500 PSI) can be used for more thorough cleaning, though it is recommended that the nozzle not be held to close to the surface.

How durable is Gator Grip?
Gator Grip is extremely durable, and virtually indestructible. It is as durable as rock, yet soft and bouncy as rubber. Once the bond has occurred between granules and the surface, considerable force and technique is require to detach it from the surface or itself.

How does Gator Grip compare to other products?
There is virtually no comparison to other products on the market for resurfacing and safety flooring. While other products are prone to cracking, peeling, or flaking, Gator Grip is very flexible and expands and contracts with temperature changes in the various elements.

What are some special features about Gator Grip?
Gator Grip can make uneven surfaces even again without having to cut out, chisel, or break away existing surfaces. Joints and holes can be filled in, with a resulting seamless application that many other products cannot offer. It is also UV resistant, antibacterial, and anti-fungal.

How soon can I walk on new Gator Grip?
Gator Grip usually requires 24-48 hours to dry completely before it can be walked on.

Is the finished rubber surface slippery when wet?
Gator Grip is slip-resistant, much like a bath mat. It may be wet, though you feel much more grip than other wet surface applications.

Will you make a custom color for our project?
Yes. While there many colors to choose from that will keep your project cost down, Gator Grip can be customized to your needs by mixing and matching many different base colors.

Is Gator Grip hot to the touch under the scorching sun?
No. Because Gator Grip is in granule form, heat dissipates through the holes in between the granules, thus making it even easier to walk on than light colored concrete. Rubber is also less likely to absorb heat and cold compared to other substances.

Is Gator Grip porous, and will it drain?
Yes. Water will continue to filter through the tiny openings between the granule bonds, and will drain in the natural direction of the underlying slope.

Can Gator Grip be repaired if it somehow gets damaged?
While Gator grip is difficult to damage, it can easily be repaired by cutting out the damaged portion of flooring, and installing new rubber with the same color mix. Once applied, the new rubber will blend in with the existing rubber, and will not be noticeable within a short period of time.

Do you offer a warranty?
Gator Grip stands behind our workmanship on each and every job. We include a 5 year limited warranty against defective materials or workmanship-caused issues.

Can Gator Grip be applied vertically?
Yes. Vertical application is possible though far more expensive by about five times. Vertical application requires special materials and chemicals, and far more labor intensive.

Can you install custom logos or emblems?
We can install logos and emblems of your choice by stenciling and cutting out the design, then filling in with the required colors to effect your design. 

Do you do use different applications for playgrounds, golf courses, sealed floor applications, etc.?
We offer a line of products that include Gator Grip, Gator Flex, and Gator Skyn to address the various desired applications. Each varies by thickness, layers, and material used.
