Gator Grip Safety Surfacing Hiring Process

  1. Application All applicants must fill out a complete application. A copy of a DMV Driver Printout (H6) is required along with the completed application. There can be no DUI convictions within the last three years on the applicant's record and no suspended license (if applicant will be required to drive a company vehicle). Other infractions are subject to review on a case-by-case basis as this may affect the applicant's ability to perform their required duties. A resume is requested if available.
  2. Interview Those applicants who pass the initial application screening process are required to have an interview to discuss qualifications, character, experience, etc. to determine if they are qualified for the next phase of the application and hiring process.
  3. Practical Trial Applicants who successfully pass the oral interview are given an opportunity to demonstrate the skills required for the job for which they are applying. Arrangements are made by the company, and applicants are notified of the next available trial opportunity. This skills trial is voluntary and not compensated.
  4. Drug Test Applicants who have successfully demonstrated the skills required for the job for which they are applying are required to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test paid for by the company. A list of banned substances will be made available to the applicant at the time of the test.
  5. Background Check Applicants that have passed all phases of the hiring process are required to undergo an employment and criminal background check. Findings will be considered on a case-by-case basis as results can vary greatly in circumstances, timelines, and considerations. It is important that the applicant be honest and forthright in this phase as character and judgment can sometimes offset some background check findings. Some findings may preclude employment.
  6. Offer of Employment Upon successful completion of all the steps outlined above, Gator Grip Safety Surfacing may extend an offer of at-will employment.
